Designing an End-to-End Operating System for a Regional Automotive Distributor
A fragmented operation redefined as one end to end operating system.
A regional automotive products distributor was running multiple sales channels, warehouses, retail branches and field distribution through an older cloud system that no longer matched the way the business operated. Key workflows spanned wholesale, retail, sub distributors, field distribution, B2B, multiple warehouses, vehicle stock custody, credit sales, collections, returns and stock transfers, with no single system connecting them.
We mapped the operation across sales, inventory, finance, distribution and collections. The diagnostic highlighted several operational control gaps, including inconsistent invoice timing, distributed stock custody, manual collection handling, partial deliveries and returns, recurring stock variances, unclear credit controls and disconnected operational visibility.
We designed the future operating system around a single end to end workflow connecting sales, inventory, distribution, delivery, collection and finance. The structure included real time stock by location, warehouse and vehicle custody, stock transfers, recurring physical counts, approval controlled stock adjustments, partial delivery workflows, returns, customer receivables, field collections, digital receipts, finance reconciliation, sales targets, role based permissions and profitability reporting.
The new platform was specified as an Arabic first, cloud based business system designed around the real workflows of the business rather than forcing the operation into a generic ERP structure.
The project converted a fragmented operating model into a defined system architecture with clear ownership, controls and workflows across commercial, inventory and finance functions.
